The technique of diagnosing of leakage of the polluting substances arising at transportation and pro­cessing of natural gas is given. It is shown that the main objective of complex diagnosing of gas pipelines is timely identification of changes of its technical condi­tion with use of technology of continuous information support throughout all life cycle: on condition of inter­action with environment, an assessment of a residual resource, a choice of the most effective methods of di­agnosing and means of operational information transfer for ensuring safe operation and reliable operability of a gas transmission network. The structure is given is in­formation-telecommunication system of monitoring of a condition of objects of a gas transmission network.
